Good news...Bad news!

THE GOOD NEWS...

Miss Barb is back from her vacation and she had a really nice time at the beach. She likes living here in the woodlands of Pennsylvania, but I think she would much rather live close to the ocean.

THE BAD NEWS...

Since she has been home, she has been busy canning fruits and vegetables and hasn't had a lot of time to spend with me. She gets upset with me when I hang around in the kitchen. She's always saying that she's afraid of spilling hot stuff on me. I'll have to admit that the peaches sure look yummy. Hope she will let me taste them too.

THE GOOD NEWS...

Miss Barb has a new Great Grandson! Isn't he a cutie?

THE BAD NEWS...

All the conversations around here are baby this and baby that. Jeeees!!! Did they forget MY name???? I'm trying not to be jealous, but, gosh, I'm still cute too. This is a recent picture of me and I'm 5 months old.

Beach Baby Flattie!

Did 'ya ever hear of a flattie? Well, Miss Barb wanted me to enjoy the beach with her and because I couldn't be there in doggie-person, she took a photo of me and then cut & pasted it on a photo she took at the beach. So now I can be with her wherever she goes, even though it's only a flat version of me. Who knows, you just might see me in other photos later on.

How do you think I look as a beach baby flattie?

Sometimes I wonder what makes her tick! (No pun intended... 'cause those little tick buggers run for the hills when they get a load of the natural oils Miss Barb rubs all over my skin!) Sometimes she does strange things, but she takes really good care of me because she loves me lots and lots.

I just know I would like to feel the sand between my toes and have the ocean breeze make my ears flap! I hope I can go to the beach when I get a little older and Miss Barb gets the air conditioning fixed in her car. But, for now, Mr. Earl is taking very good care of me and we are both anxious for Miss Barb to come home.

Leash-Training Delayed

In my last post, I promised I would share some of my leash-training experiences with you. Just when I was beginning to get wrapped up in my lessons, Miss Barb decided to go to Myrtle Beach to visit her brother and his Family.

I was disappointed that I couldn't go with her, but she explained that it would be too hot for me because the air conditioning is on the fritz in her car. I wanted to go soooo bad so I could meet two new doggie friends at the place where she was going. Hope she takes pictures of them so I can share them here on my blog. They are both boy dogs and their names are Dodger and Ruger. They are both older than me, so I imagine they wouldn't appreciate my eagerness to jump and play! It's just the way some senior citizens are!

Before Miss Barb left on her trip, I was able to get her to walk next to me on the leash. Sometimes when I tugged a bit too hard, she would just stop in her tracks and wouldn't move until I accepted a treat so we could continue on our way. Sometimes, she can be very, very stubborn!

I'm anxious for her to get back from her trip so we can continue our lessons. I hope she hasn't forgotten everything that I have taught her so far!
